As many of you already know, the MILAN standard uses a specific AVB stream format in order to facilitate interoperability.

This will help you evaluate what to expect on your audio infrasctructure in terms of abndwidth and compatibility.
A
device does not necessarily have to be MILAN certified to operate with
other MILAN endpoint, but i has to be able to support the stream format
specifications in this document.
For example, AVB can use
different types of encoding, MILAN operates only in AAF encoding. So an
AVB device that only support AM824 encoding can't interoperate with a
MILAN endpoint.
This will also help you evaluate the bandwidth used by your MILAN network.
